Cottar’s Safaris
CWCT and the private Olderkesi Community Conservancy is kept running through the per person per night conservation fees that are charged at all the Cottar’s Safaris properties and donated to CWCT. This is a great symbiotic relationship, and shows how the tourism industry can directly benefit conservation and the preservation of our wildlife and wild places.
African Wildlife Foundation
AWF has an MOU with the Cottars Group to provide a tax-free funding vehicle to our clients and donors to assist us in meeting our conservation and rural development objectives. AWF also partners with CWCT on projects directly, and have provided the funding for the Olderkesi land use plan, rangers training and the construction of CWCT Olderkesi HQ at the airstrip. In addition, AWF represents CWCT and Cottars 1920s safari camp on direct appeals to past guests of Cottars 1920s Camp, as well as to charitable foundations for the funding of Olderkesi; any funds raised are ring-fenced for CWCT and our Olderkesi.
CWCT would like to acknowledge the contributions and assistance by Royal African Safaris for their ongoing support of the Olderkesi Wildlife Conservancy.

We are proud to be a member of The Long Run, selected for the positive impact we have on nature and people.
The Long Run is a community of properties, travel partners and experts committed to protecting and regenerating ecosystems for the benefit of all. The organisation supports, connects and inspires members to operate according to a balance of the 4Cs — Conservation, Community, Culture and Commerce. Through this journey, travel experiences have a positive impact, and conservation is socially and financially sustainable. Collectively, Long Run members safeguard over 23 million acres of ecosystems, protect more than 400 endangered species, and improve the lives of 750,000 people.
Maasai Mara Wildllife Conservancies
The Maasai Mara Wildlife Conservancies Association formed in 2013 to serve as a membership organization for current and future wildlife conservancies in the Greater Maasai Mara. Currently Olderkesi is one of 15 conservancies for which MMWCA play an overarching coordination role in the pursuit of conserving the greater Maasai Mara ecosystem, through a network of protected areas, for the prosperity of all – biodiversity and wildlife, the local population, and recreation and tourism for the nation of Kenya.
